Can I use Saystep as a beginner?
Yes. Start with familiar situations and short sentences, with Japanese translations and reference audio to help you practice at your own pace. The practice app is currently in Japanese.
Is it free to use?
The free allowance includes up to 30 AI conversation and pronunciation assessments per month, with a limit of 5 per day. AI assessment requires an account and internet access. Visit the pricing page for details.
What can I practice?
Practice conversations, photo descriptions, quick responses, and General American pronunciation. Reference audio, word-level feedback, and recordings help you review your speech.
How are my recordings handled?
When you request an AI assessment, audio is sent to analysis services with your prior consent. Read the privacy policy for details on storage and deletion.
